This is a rare & exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis professional to join a highly successful, rapidly expanding £200m t/o Division of a £7Bn t/o global blue-chip, for a period of 16 months maternity leave cover. Operating in a high profile, autonomous role, reporting directly to the European FD, your remit will be to consolidate financial results for UK and 10 European sites whilst working in collaboration with the FD to establish modern/effective business & functional management reporting, standardised planning/analysis and KPI/performance reporting. The key remit of this role is to provide maternity for the Group Financial Accountant who is going on mat leave but the FD is enhancing the role to include a project element of supporting a full SAP upgrade/utilisation and developing MI reporting to provide a modern, sophisticated reporting suite delivering full cost centre & sales/margin visibility across the business to assist the European FD and Senior Management team in strategic business decisions. Duties will include:
- Developing, implementing and analysing the financial and management reports to ensure alignment with the strategic direction and corporate requirements of the business
- Ensuring the provision of timely, accurate and meaningful business and regional performance reports to the management team
- Ensuring month end and quarterly reporting is compliant with corporate requirements
- Developing and reporting against metrics that add insight into business unit performance to drive improvements
- Collating analysis on business unit results, trends, market conditions etc.
- Variance analysis against forecasts and budgets
- Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting
- Consolidating results across European operations
- Analysis and reporting of budgets, planning and forecasts
- Coordinate the annual budget process at an overall Group and Regional level
Applicants must be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA and will have previous experience in a similar profile role for a UK division of a large, global business. SAP knowledge is essential to this role and an understanding of BPC, BI Hana plus HFM (Hyperion) would be advantageous. Commercially astute with strong business analysis/presentation skills you will have a proven track record of delivering operational improvements, projects & business initiatives and will have the ability to forge strong business partner relationships. You will have the communication skills and gravitas to work with a broad and diverse global team.
