Finance Manager

A rapid growth retail business has created a new position that will assist both the Financial Controller and the CFO in a broad range of duties.

With excellent progression already planned for the successful candidate, the role is both highly commercial and hands on with the running of the finance team, and will incorporate the following duties:

• The management and development of 3 members of staff.
• Assisting the Financial Controller with key month end duties and reporting.
• Supporting the CFO and wider executive team with the provision of value adding commercial analysis to support business growth and to provide insight into client and product profitability.
• The development of the long term strategic business plan.
• Management of cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
• Act as business partner to a variety of stakeholders to provide insight into divisional performance and to improve the commercial mindset of a range of non-finance staff.
• The development of internal controls, processes, and reporting.
• Assisting the Financial Controller with year end duties, including liaising with the auditors.
• Support the FC and CFO with a range of ongoing projects.
• Acting in an "hands on" nature when required to ensure all deadlines and financial requirements are met.

Candidate profile:

• Qualified, with a strong preference for an ACA qualification.
• Experience gained in Audit is a must.
• Post qualified experience gained in industry is also a key requirement.
• Degree educated or equivalent.
• Strong reporting or technical accounting with the ability to also add commercial value.
• Any experience gained from a consumer business would be a distinct advantage.
• First class communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to operate in a fast paced, highly autonomous, and hands on environment.
