RK Accountancy is proud to be associated with one of the UKs largest employers, located in Preston this rapidly expanding wholesale and distribution business with a diverse portfolio of interests and an ever increasing customer base, is currently seeking to appoint a Trainee Assistant Accountant to add to their existing finance team.

Your New Job

As Trainee Assistant Accountant, you will benefit from significant prospects in training and development, including the opportunity to commence or continue to study towards a professional accountancy qualification. As a Trainee Assistant Accountant your role over time will be to work within one of the companies specialist departments processing Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger overseeing Cash flow projections, end of month bank reconciliations, VAT returns, Balance Sheets, and Management Accounts, whilst managing the financial data through bespoke systems and assisting with general ad-hock duties as required

Your Experience & Our Requirements

Previous experience in finance is not essential as full training will be provided however a basic knowledge would be desirable. You should be able to demonstrate a high standard of academic qualifications (A minimum of A-level or equivalent essential) with excellent written and verbal communication skills. As the successful applicant you should be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for pursuing a career in the finance industry and a desire to establish yourself and grow with the business.

Your Future As The Successful Candidate

You’ll receive a competitive starting salary of up to £18,500 per annum, with a full training contract generous holiday and benefits package. You’ll receive on going supervision and support whilst in your role and will have the opportunity for growth and progression within the company.
