Finance Analyst

I am looking for a hands-on Finance Analyst for 3 months in a PE backed Technology business.

The business has recently gone through a re-structure and are subsequently looking to change and upskill their finance team. As they are looking to continue acquisition growth, they have major expansion plans on the horizon. Therefore, there will be a lot of work around the forecasting and budgeting processes.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who has had proven experience in improving models in an SME environment.

The Role:

• Improving/upgrading existing financial models. You will assess areas of improvements across multiple models and implement them accordingly.
• Management accounting – you will assist the Management Accounts with month-end, improving the efficiency and accuracy of the current process by providing analytical support.
• Cash flow analysis to access profitability improvements and cost saving initiatives.

The Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, v look-ups etc).
• Strong experience improving financial models – you will essentially need to review the existing models and recognise where and what needs to be changed and or improved. Naturally, this will only suit candidates who have a proven track record of creating models, not just reviewing them.
• Previous experience in a hands-on SME environment – this is essential as there will be a lot of ad-hoc project work with various reporting lines.
• PE experience would be beneficial – candidates who can display a strong knowledge of models produced/ expected in a PE backed business will be at an advantage.
• Relevant experience in Technology/Software is advantageous – understanding how the business is structured/ the way they operate.
