Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer | London | £90,000 - £130,000

 

Are you a charismatic and experienced CFO / COO looking to design and implement initiatives to drive business strategy across a company? Are you looking to contribute to the globalisation of a firm and have a real voice at the top table? Are you looking for the opportunity to work with high calibre individuals from across the globe?

An incredibly successful and niche executive recruitment firm is looking for an engaging and accomplished CFO / COO to prepare the company for a corporate ‘event’ by ensuring the business in as attractive as possible to potentially interested parties. With a strong global presence already, they are looking to continue their international growth and are looking for someone who is constantly looking for opportunities for expansion. You will focus on overseeing the finance function and ensuring first-class management information is provided to help influence the strategic direction of the business. You will also be responsible for managing company-wide operations and identifying new opportunities for efficiencies across the firm and managing the delivery of any relevant projects.

The Role

Strategy:

  • Help communicate and drive business strategy across the business by being having a real voice at with senior leaders within the business
  • Assist the CEO in any M & A activity (the business has absorbed two small firms in the last year)
  • Build up a strong network of external advisors (corporate financiers, lawyers, banks etc)

Finance:

  • Oversee, assess and develop the finance function where necessary 
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, from the Head of Finance to banks and auditors to get the best deals and value for money
  • Ensure first-class management information is provided
  • Finalise board packs, ensure successful audit and ensure financial control of the business

Operations & Technology:

  • Manage company-wide operations and integrity of the technology platform
  • Implement new software and infrastructure across the business
  • Manage and oversee office management and facilities globally
  • Operational support for new business opportunities, services and products

Compliance and interim-care:

  • Develop an excellent contractor care programme to turn interims into active ambassadors
  • Acting as focal point for compliance across the Group in terms of legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Managing any contractual disputes that arise
  • Manage US compliance challenges, as well as other new territories

 

What you need

  • Previous experience in helping design and implement strategic initiatives in a growth organisation.
  • A qualified accountant who has held Finance and Operations Director/ CFO/COO positions for 10+ years
  • Experience within both interim and permanent recruitment firms
  • Experience in an international firm and has opened offices in new territories
  • Experience in taking a recruitment firm through a transaction
