Our client is a small but expanding Practice based in central Oxford. As a result of their continual growth they are now seeking to appoint a Bookkeeper to their existing team. This position will be part of a new unit as a result of a significant number of new clients coming to the Practice. Main responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation of monthly bookkeeping for clients including sales and purchase invoice   processing
  • Prepare VAT calculations for multiple schemes and submit returns 
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • CIS processing and reporting
  • Prepare and manage monthly journals of payroll and month end reports
  • Collection of  receipts/invoices for processing either in the office or from home
  • Working at clients premises as required
  • Providing year end packs for accountants/tax advisors
  • Supervision of bookkeeping function and programming of tasks and supporting other staff.
As an individual you will ideally be AAT qualified, with experience of working with a number of smaller clients in a variety of industries. You will be detail driven with excellent attention to detail. It would be helpful if you have supervised junior members of staff previously. It is essential that you have experience of Sage L50 and ideally Xero and QuickBooks. Strong Excel skills are a pre-requisite.
