Currently have a fantastic opportunity for a client based in Manchester that requires a Finance Business Partner to provide insight and challenge all the aspects around the groups distribution cost. This is a newly created role with full autonomy
Support logistics team in providing optimised supply chain footprint for the group. Operating a world class control environment in all aspects of distribution finance.
- Provide clarity on the key drivers impacting distribution costs
- Provide delivery route cost analysis
- Support and challenge logistic team in redesigning distribution and warehousing footprint for the group to deliver sustainable cost reduction visible in P&L
- Cooperation with indirect purchasing team in regards to distribution third party logistics providers tenders
- Cooperation with demand and supply chain planning teams to ensure full understanding across the group in regards to distribution flows and is properly reflected in the systems managed by the group
- Support monthly forecast S&OP cycle in regards to distribution costs based on available demand plan, challenge demand plan and provide future costs and new delivery routes in line with supply chain strategy
- Cooperation with Commercial/Commercial Finance to ensure impact of changing delivery routes is fully reflected in pricing decisions
- Cooperation with costing/pricing team to ensure that cost of distribution is included in costing system and also reflected in prices being prepared to customer
- Provide analysis of internal vs external drivers of distribution cost together with cost-benefit-quality analysis to achieve and maintain desirable CSL level
- Provide insights for the group in regards to end of supply chain issues and how they can be resolved in the future (as distribution is the last element of supply chain before product reach customer, therefore all the issues are cumulated in here)
- Review and propose future allocation of distribution cost to product/customer profitability to help driving correct actions within commercial environment
- In cooperation with R2R team provide monthly reporting with commentaries in regards to distribution cost
- Provide clarity on truck utilisation and together with logistics team insights on how it can be improved in the future
- Future Supply Chain Business Warehouse project involvement. Power User of SC BW in the future
- Business partner Group Head of Logistics in overheads review and challenge
- Cooperation with Purchasing, Logistics and Planning teams in proving clarity 'what to produce where and for who' to help design future supply chain footprint of the group ensuring the most cost competitiveness solution is implemented not only from operations, but also storage cost point of view
- Provide any necessary ad hoc support for HOF SC, Group Head of Logistics, Network Optimisation Manager or any other senior members of leadership team
Person
- A minimum of 3 years experience in various management accounting roles, preferably from supply chain area
- Qualified accountant or oversees equivalent
- Experience of accounting and reporting within an international business
- Understanding of International Accounting Standards
- Advanced Microsoft Office user, especially Excel
- Good understanding of SAP
- Organised, disciplined, deadline "meeter"
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Creative in daily job, challenging status quo, always looking for opportunities to improve
- Good verbal and written communication
- Fluent English and other European language is an advantage
