Finance Assistant - Nordics

Accountabilities of the Finance Assistant:
Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly performance reporting and analysis:
- Deliver financial performance reports that focuses on YOY and vs forecast performance
- Manage the monthly close process for all cost areas, including liaison with colleagues in the UK
- Support the monthly forecasting process and ensure the accuracy of forecasts in the system
- Manage and promote a transparent controls process for all sales & marketing investment to ensure the business is delivering the best return on investment and has the correct level of transparency throughout each function
- Design and deliver financial models and analysis to assist with the development of the Dyson Nordics go to market strategies to ensure the business is fit for the future and delivering effective profitable growth.
Pricing & Finance Operations owner:
- Lead the local management of all customer pricing (invoice pricing, promo spend, rebates, NPD launches) to ensure a smooth and transparent process
- Be curious, inventive and willing to look at the current process and make recommendations of how to better operate a smooth process
- Partner internally (group finance, account team, supply chain, direct retail) to ensure all processes are understood and supported.
Fulfil other duties as required:
- Be a technical leader (e. Excel, SAP) and help build capability throughout the organisation with formal and informal coaching
- Flexible and willing to take on new tasks as the Nordic entity grows.
Skills / Experience required of the Finance Assistant:
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Passion for data and insight
- Strong educational background and academic track record, demonstrating an ability to grasp and manage complex issues
- Analytical and problem solving mind-set to tackle daily operational issues from multiple angles
- Naturally drives for results, looks to add value; energetic, engaging and positive approach.
Experience:
- Experienced SAP user a plus
- 2+ years accounting experience preferably within an FMCG company
- A minimum of an accounting and finance education at university level.
