Finance Analyst

Finance Analyst | Central London | £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + bonus & benefits

A global TMT Company is looking for a finance analyst to join a senior commercial finance team of 7 dedicated to one of their divisions in Central London. This financial analysis role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis.

Responsibilities of your new role

The finance analyst will provide robust, efficient, commercially focused and high-quality analysis to the commercial finance director and the rest of the team. Key duties of the financial analyst:

• Ensure that the actual financial and operational results of the division are provided to management on an accurate and timely basis together with concise, action orientated and business focused commentary.
• Ensure that projects have in place an up to date, high quality full year forecast that reflects all relevant material issues and business plans.
• Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis and advice that will help the team to deliver optimal operational performance through high quality strategic and tactical business decisions.
• Provide data analysis on core business products to understand performance and trends.
• Act as a Business Partner to designated cost centre managers, supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes and providing timely Opex and headcount reporting, acting as a point of contact into central finance.

Qualifications

The business is keen to hear from finance analyst applicants who have the following qualifications:

• Graduate with strong degree in related field.
• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent (ACCA/CIMA Finalist).

Experience and skills

The successful finance analyst will be able to demonstrate:

• Around 3 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial modelling and analysis within quality companies. At least half of the time should have been spent in commercial finance roles.
• Superior analytical skills coupled with good strategic business understanding.
• Creative problem solver and decision maker.
• Ability to draw high quality analysis from financial data.
• Strong people skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively in an intellectual and multinational environment at all levels. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• A commercially astute Financial Analyst, the candidate must be technically strong, and influential with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with passion for excellence and innovation.
• Proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects while adhering to deadlines.    

Salary and benefits

The successful financial analyst will be offered £45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus a bonus and a range of competitive benefits.
