Totum are delighted to be working with a dynamic management consultancy outsource provider in its search for a Chief Finance Officer. Reporting into the CEO and making up part of the Main Board, this is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant who has previously operated as a Finance Director to join an ambitious, expanding business. The CFO will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities including the development of financial strategies. The role includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis, negotiations and investor relations. Working directly with the board, the CFO will ensure the efficient, innovative and compliant management of all financial endeavours keeping the business one step ahead of their financial needs.
Key duties and responsibilities for the CFO include providing financial analysis, reporting and structuring of our entire group's profitability, providing insight and support in driving the long-term vision of the business; preparing, managing and updating the quarterly and monthly budgets in co-operation with the finance team; providing monthly financial reports, outlining the company's financial performance against targets and maintaining an accurate balance and cash flow; pro-actively advising the board on cost-efficiency and revenue improvement proposals; developing, monitoring, reporting and interpreting relevant business KPIs; providing financial and management information as required to meet client reporting requirements; managing contracts and act as a day-to-day contact with legal advisors when appropriate; maintaining banking relationship; assisting with the identification, assessment, deal structuring, negotiation, due diligence and integration of acquisitions, including the preparation and presentation of investment cases; liaising with and co-ordination of external advisers; developing financial and tax strategies; overseeing all transactions and processing systems; implementing operational best practices; providing strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities; ensuring effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory legislation for financial and tax reporting; developing, maintaining and fronting investor relations; overall management of the finance function.
Applicants should be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent) with experience of working at a Director level. Experience of running finance functions as well as operating as a trusted adviser to and as part of a Board must be demonstrable as should experience of working with external investors. Previous experience of working in either the recruitment industry or outsourcing business is also a pre-requisite.
