Robert Walters have partnered with a leading professional services organisation based in Wilmslow. They are looking to recruit a Credit Control Manager on an initial 3 month contract with the potential to go permanent.
Robert Walters have partnered with a professional services organisation based in Wilmslow. They are looking to recruit a Credit Control Manager on an initial 3 month contract with the potential to go permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for supervising the Credit Control function
- Co-ordinate staff and work-related issues
- Assist Head of Order to Cash with line management responsibilities including performance review and appraisals
- Share responsibilities of Credit Controllers, including: dispatching letters/statements, investigating queries from customers and processing payments from customers
- Maximise cash collection and minimise levels of overdue debt
- Responsible for key accounts that are part of overall company ledger and monitor remaining key accounts chased by credit controllers
- Regularly liaise with internal staff to resolve complex queries/disputes
- Ensure the provision of an effective credit control function for all debtors, ensuring that procedures are in place to review outstanding debt, and implementing credit control arrangements in a sensitive and professional manner
- Ensure that all documents and paperwork are provided and accurately filed
- Provide Management information regarding the team's performance and targets
- Seek out opportunities to improve process, procedures and controls
- Other reasonable duties as and when required
- As required provide training to junior members of staff
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable supervisor / management experience within a credit control environment
- Previous experience within an account's receivable environment
- Experience of dealing with Debt Collections Agencies would be preferable
- Analytical and highly organised
- Highly computer literate- MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are key, as is a positive and flexible approach to your work.
- Results/target driven with the ability to define, measure and audit KPIs
- Strategic thinking with the ability to approach relevant parties with new ideas
- Able to cope with multiple priorities and changing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy is imperative
- Ability to effectively report to senior management
- Diligent and dependable
- ICM qualified or equivalent preferable
