Based in central London, my client is an international FMCG trading group with a turnover of £90m
The company is very profitable and operates in well-established market place with dependable products and customers!
Due to an impending retirement after twenty years’ service a new Finance Director is sort.
However the position is being broadened to become Finance and Managing Director!
So this is a very hands on operational role.
Duties will include
- Executive board director with statutory responsibilities
- Develop close ties and reporting to international owners and peers.
- Responsibility for all statutory reporting and governance
- Oversee all aspects of the company strategy
- Manage all banking and investor relations, ensuring all covenants adhered too.
- Production of annual statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors and advisors
- Group consolidations to FRS102
- Monthly management accounts
- Monthly variance reports and reforecast where necessary
- Extensive working capital management and cash flow reporting
- Foreign currency exchange management and hedging
- International financial reporting and consolidation
- Ultimate responsibility for the financial budget and strategic plan.
- Grow the business on the international stage through organic growth and acquisition
- Identify and implement system and organisational development strategies
- Develop ERP and internal systems to support business organisation and reporting
- Capital expenditure approval process
- Develop and produce key performance indicators and other management stats
- Drive cost reduction and process improvement
- Responsible for managing and developing accounts team
- Oversee the activities of our associated company in France
Person Specification
- Qualified accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- At least ten years post qualification experience ideally gained in an FMCG or trading environment.
- International experience
- Stable track record and progressive cv
- Salary package around £140k negotiable plus profit related pay to be agreed.
