Senior Accountant

Your new firm
A reputable medium size accountancy firm based in Liverpool City Centre are seeking an experienced an ACA / ACCA qualified Senior Accountant to join the firm following an increase in workload from both new and existing clients. This is a newly created job opportunity and therefore both part time and full time hours will be considered. The firm operate from modern offices in the City Centre and have about 30 staff across the practice.

Your new role
As a Senior Accountant you will join the accounts and audit department and take responsibility for managing the more complex accounting assignments of the firm. Your clients will range in size and turnover but your work will involve Solicitors Accounts Rules, consolidated accounts and incomplete records for medium size businesses. In this role you will own an assignment and be responsible for liaising with your client, preparing the year end financial statements and the final draft corporation tax computation, meeting with the client alongside the partner and then submitting the accounts with the relevant disclosures. This is a great job opportunity to work in an autonomous role and both part time or full time hours will be considered.

What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking to appoint a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with at least five years experience working within public practice. You must have dealt with a broad range of clients and be able to unravel manual records prepared by the company and prepare accurate financial statements. The firm use Sage Accounts Production so any prior experience of this software would be preferable. The firm will consider both part time or full time hours.
