SF Group are recruiting an Assistant Finance Controller for our Birmingham based client on a 12 month fixed term contract basis with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
In this role, you will ensure that the organisation are compliant with local laws and ensure policies and procedures are being followed within the business's Group entities. You will take ownership for all aspects, including design and development, assurance, training and maintaining support, ensuring that these are delivered according to best practice. You will also support the Group Finance Controller in consolidating Group results under our current AX environment and other adhoc projects.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Improve and streamline policies and existing manual processes across finance by providing automated solutions
- Ensure that the company is not unknowingly exposed to any audit issues
- Ensure statutory compliance in all countries with presence.
- Ensuring financial systems projects is optimised to deliver best practice around full system integrity and validation, training, process, procedures and documentation- including Purchase ledger,
- sales ledger and treasury.
- Work with Group Finance Controller to lead and represent Finance on critical projects ensuring at all times effective and accurate communication within Group.
As the ideal candidate, you will be Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) and possess strong experience in a commercial organisation. You will have strong experience in a pro-active financial reporting role within a commercial business.You will be working in a pro-active financial management role within a commercial environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of products / services. Furthermore, you will possess demonstrable and hands on experience of financial reporting, internal control, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. A strong understanding of accounting process, procedures and analytical skills will put you in good stead. Furthermore, possessing AX Dynamics 365 experience will prove useful, however, not essential.
Our client is looking for candidates who have international exposure and as the ideal candidate, you will understands and have experience of how foreign currency, transactions and consolidations work in a busy finance environment. This role requires a technical, advanced user of excel where you will be working on a number of projects and can operate at a senior level.
