Your new company
Your new company is a long established firm of Chartered Accountants with four experienced partners, regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, based in North London which offers a wide range of accountancy services and business advice including audit and accounts compliance; tax returns, advice and estate planning; bookkeeping, management reporting and business advice; company formation and secretarial services; VAT and PAYE operation and registration and payroll services. The firms client base is interesting and really varied in size dealing with small start ups to £50m turnover businesses.

Your new role
An opportunity has arisen due to recent growth for an accountant to join the practice. You will either be a competent semi-senior accountant or a senior qualified accountant with previous experience in practice. You will ensure that all accounting records for clients are kept up to date and maintained to an accurate manner, you will also assist with the preparation of statutory year-end accounts under UKGAAP and in particular FRS105 and FRS1021A and FRS 102 standards for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships in addition to the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns; bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns and self assessment tax returns in busy periods. The practice does have some audit clients so you will be expected to help out with audit planning and fieldwork and for those candidates that do not have previous exposure to external audit work advice and training will be given.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you must be ACA/ACCA Qualified or should have sufficient relevant practice experience which demonstrates that you are capable of handling the role. You must be hard working and show a willingness to learn with excellent communication skills. Experience with CCH Sage and Xero is highly desirable.
