Transsnet are an exciting FinTech start-up, based in the UK with offices across Africa and China and with significant growth forecast over the coming 12-month period. 

Our team are growing too, and we now need the dedicated services of a qualified / part-qualified accountant for our Bracknell Offices in the UK to undertake this standalone Group Finance Manager role as Group Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile, experienced finance professional to join us at a pivotal time. The right candidate will have the opportunity to take on real responsibility among a senior and experienced cross functional team.

About the Group Finance Manager role:

This is a standalone Group Finance Manager role and as such you’ll be expected to undertake the full range of finance and accounting duties with minimal supervision. You’ll also be working with a cross functional, multi-national team ensuring the UK team is fully supported by Finance as well as developing a close working relationship with Finance colleagues in the markets. The role will grow as the markets develop and achieve profitability.

Key responsibilities in this Group Finance Manager role include:

  • Management accounting and maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger
  • Month end reporting to HQ team in China
  • Cash flow management, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and staff
  • Oversight of Payroll (out sourced to 3rd party)
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns and other statutory filings
  • Preparing and consolidating UK entity and African subsidiaries accounts
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and operations within the finance function
  • Work closely with international head office team to ensure UK requirements are understood and adopted
  • Support and assist Finance teams in the markets as required
  • Extending your skills into Data Analysis and the impact that can have on our products.

Experience Requirements for the Group Finance Manager role:

  • Qualified (or part qualified) CIMA or ACCA
  • Management accounting and transaction processing experience required
  • Experience gained across different parts of the finance function
  • Service industry experience (FinTech, Banking experience preferable)
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment is preferable

Skills & Competencies required of the Group Finance Manager:

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Additional language skills in Mandarin (both spoken and written) are highly preferred but not required
  • Be a credible influencer to a range of stakeholders
  • Ambitious to learn more about our business
  • Passion for finance as well as a desire to branch into new areas such as User Experience based Data Analysis
  • Creative thinker who loves collaborating across the business
  • A strong problem solver. Able to breakdown complex issues into smaller pieces and work with stakeholders to solve these issues
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to keep on top of a variety of different tasks and priorities at the same time

Location

The Group Finance Manager role is be based in Bracknell, UK with limited travel. On occasion you may be required to travel to China or our African markets.
