Interim Head of Finance

Our client is a high-profile Peterborough-based charity based in the centre of the city. We are seeking to recruit a CCAB Qualified Accountant on an initial 3-6 month assignment to join their team to lead the finance function. Reporting directly into the Chief Executive, you will lead a small team of 2 in finance and be responsible for the full preparation of management, financial and statutory accounts.

The ideal candidate for this role will be professionally qualified and be able to demonstrate a proven track record in delivering a robust and timely set of monthly management accounts. Working closely with budget holders, you will manage cashflows, budgets and forecasts and have the ability to engage and influence your budget holders. Ideally, you will have experience of preparing financial accounts within a charity and to SORP 2015 standards and have full experience of dealing with HMRC, VAT and Gift Aid.

This role has the potential to be extended beyond the initial 6 months duration. Ideally, you will be immediately available or on a short notice period.
