This is a role that will provide you with lots of variety and plenty of support and guidance to allow you to develop and progress. It would best suit an Assistant Accountant who has either completed AAT or an accountancy and finance degree and is looking for a position that will give them scope to learn and progress into a management accounting role downstream.

You will work for a proactive, ambitious and likeable Head of Finance who can offer mentoring, guidance and support wherever required without micro-managing.

The role: involvement in month end close, management accounts preparation, accruals and prepayments, bank reconciliation, ad hoc analysis and reporting, balance sheet control, forecasting, VAT, fixed assets, AP, AR and credit control.  The more you are able to take on the more opportunity you will be given.

You do not need to have had exposure to all aspects of the role but a firm understanding of debits and credits is required.

You will be:

·         An ambitious, enthusiastic and proactive individual who has recently completed AAT.

·         Able to demonstrate strong core accounting skills (knowledge of general ledger / double entry).

·         Confident using Excel.

·         Keen to develop and progress.

·         Able to manage your time effectively, deadline focused.

·         Highly accurate and diligent in your approach.

·         A team player.
