Our client is a consistently successful business with an outstanding record of acquisitive and organic growth. Internal promotion creates the need to appoint a Group Financial Controller to support and underpin the Group Finance Director and provide financial leadership and direction to the subsidiary teams. 

The successful candidate will be the key interface with the Regional Finance Directors, will be central finance strategy lead, will be responsible through a small central team for group reporting, and will provide commercial oversight. He/she will be responsible for budgets and forecasts, play a key role in acquisition activities and in particular acquisition thereof, prepare board papers and other announcements, be the principal point of contact with advisors, and play a central role in the global finance systems project as well as leading a small collegiate central team. The individual to be appointed will command the role and proactively support the Group Finance Director and the Board.

The Group Financial Controller to be appointed will be technically gifted but very commercial in outlook in order to provide leadership and direction to the worldwide finance community within the group. He/she will operate as the “right hand“ of the Group Finance Director and will have the stature and authority to act as a member of the group’s management team including contributing to the development of the group strategy and operational plans.
