Investment Accountant

SF Group are currently for an Investment Accountant for our Birmingham based client on a permanent basis. You will lead on accurately reclaiming grant money from investments and be strategically leading many programmes for the business. Our client is looking for candidates who can evidence debt recovery of programmes and various projects and you will commercially monitor programmes and investments for the wider group. You will submit investment revenue budgets in line with forecasts and you will be working with a number of local authorities to ensure capital budgets are adhered to.

You will monitor cash flow and ensure that all money put into this particular project is accessible for non finance stakeholders. Furthermore, you will strategically lead on asset and investment schemes and be able to bring some commercial and business acumen to the wider business.

As the ideal candidate, you will look at the budget for the programme ensuring they are fully supported by sound funding assumptions and that the values are reviewed regularly in line with the forecasting cycle. Also, you will ensure that all grants received are allocated accordingly hence cash flow forecasting being an integral and liaison with treasury department will be required. This role will see you work closely with a great deal of stakeholders so you will have excellent funding, investment knowledge as this is a must. A background in treasury will also put you in good stead.

You will be Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent and have strong corporate, investment and treasury background. Our client is looking for a strong candidate who possesses strong commercial and business acumen and has experience looking after investments and project accounting experience.
