SF Group are currently recruiting a Business & Planning Accountant for our Local Authority based client. This role is key to the funding allocations in a Local Authority setting so experience working in the same environment is a must. Your remit will include Business Planning and working closely with board to review spend and budget allocations so they can make informed decisions of the shape of the Local Authority.
Your role will see you plan the organisation's long term plan and be able to advise on their medium to long term budget in accordance with timetables. This will include preparing business cases for review and ensuring Local Authority processes and procedures are adhered to sufficiently.
You will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE and have excellent experience of working in a Local Authority more so in a planning capacity. You must be proactive by nature and be able to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders.
