Finance Manager / Financial Controller

A rapidly growing business are recruiting a Finance Manager

Your new company
They are a highly successful, rapidly growing online retailer, with exciting plans to triple our turnover within the next few years. They are currently moving to new, expanded premises and we are seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to support our growth, drive our profitability and streamline our processes.


Your new role

• Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (although experience and attitude are more important)
• Retail background, fully conversant with stock control, stock turn and retail pricing
• Management of daily accounting activities, creating journal entries in the ledger, developing financial statements, reporting financial status to shareholders
• VAT, intrastat, EU VAT
• Ownership of managing accounts payable and cashflow
• Month-end balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and management accounts production
• Able to develop and produce useful management information designed to inform rapid decision-making
• Ability to scale from control and "back-end" process through to future focus, enhancing profitability and driving cash
• Confident in the selection and embedding of a new end-to-end financial control system
• Ability to design processes to improve controls and enhance management information
• Desire to take accountability for the end-to-end finance function
• Well organised whilst being adaptable to change
• Proactive, dynamic self-starter who wants to make a real difference
• Strong analytical skills
