Financial Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Swinton area for a Part Qualified Accountant to join a global business in a Financial Accountant role. We are seeking an ambitious, bright and meticulous candidate who is capable of working in a pressured environment and to tight deadlines. The main function of the role will be to ensure financial reporting services/performances are delivered in accordance with business expectations.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver financial reporting activities for the UK entity
• Balance sheet reconciliation preparation
• Journal entries at month end and mid-month
• Run fixed asset accounting module and capitalise assets timely
• Prepare accrual and prepayment journals
• Prepare loan interest accrual
• Accrue certain intercompany costs at month end
• Complete month end reporting in SAP and HFM – 3-day timeline
• Raise recharge invoices to other intercompany entities on a timely basis
• Ad hoc reporting and investigation in relation to the numbers
• Help with audit of UK entity and preparation of financial statement and tax computation
• Delivery of financial reporting KPI’s within a team

Person Specification

• Ability to build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders
• Effective communication skills with a practical understanding of how to assist inter-departmental relations
• SAP experience
• Good IT skills – ERP, MS Office
• Proven time management skills - clearly prioritises and delivers against deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Qualified or part qualified, ACCA/CIMA
