Operating globally, with a head office in London, the group organisation has doubled in size in the past 2 years and with $10bn++ of equity capital in funds, is enjoying ambitious expansion across all revenue streams. As a result, the company is recruiting for a 2:1/1st class graduate qualified accountant with Fund Accounting experience, to undertake an Assistant Financial Controller role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role is integral to the financial reporting and operations for a portfolio of infrastructure funds and co-investment vehicles. A broad brief includes:

•Assisting with management of fund reporting & control function for infrastructure funds & co-investment vehicles
•Review & support of the preparation of quarterly investor reports
•Preparation of weekly payment runs against fund requirements
•Weekly updates of fund forecast cash flows & requirements
•Monitoring cash transfers between fund & project bank accounts to ensure compliance
•Assisting with the preparation of regulatory reporting including statutory accounts prepared under FRS 102 or IFRS; quarter & year end close processes; liaison with Tax team on data requirements for UK, US & overseas tax reporting
•Monitoring FX requirements on a deal by deal & currency by currency basis

As a 2:1/1st class graduate and qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA, you will demonstrate proven statutory accounting and financial reporting experience gained within the Fund Accounting environment, strong Excel skills and excellent interpersonal ability. The role demands an eye for detail, numerical dexterity and the gravitas to build robust relationships with key stakeholders. The group offers ongoing career development within the business.
