Exclusive - Our client is a leading business and expert in their field worldwide. They are seeking a Part Qualified Management Accountant in their latter stages of Qualification at their Central London UK Head Office, to act as a key member of the group finance function preparing monthly management accounts with focus on all cost reporting for a key business - acting as key liaison point for any expense related queries.

This is a challenging role that will offer the opportunity to grow in both commercial and technical ability. Responsibilities are as follows; Monthly management accounts: Cost reporting for the for main business; Extracting all open purchase orders and using to generate accrual; Process and analysis of payroll and medical information; Maintain cost contract database to generate accruals and prepayments; Liaison with all areas of the business to ensure all costs are correctly accounted for, including any manual accruals and prepayments as required; Monitoring cost performance vs budget and forecast, identifying variances and trends; Maintain cost budget codes and ensure correct application; Ad Hoc journals as required; Monthly cost reporting and reviews versus budget and forecast and production of associated commentary; Production of cost forecasts and budgets with cost centre owner; Manage purchase order process and approval rights; Monthly balance sheet reconciliation; Assisting in the production and reporting of monthly revenue; Assist in yearend statutory audits and periodic SOX control reporting; Ensuring KPI and metrics are being recorded across the group; Provide support for cost planning, budgets and quarterly forecasts as required; Documentation of procedures and ongoing review to ensure these remain up to date;  Ad-hoc information and analysis requests; Involvement in process improvement projects.

Using Dynamics NAV and TM1, you will become an advanced user of all finance IT systems, and the role offers the opportunity to develop systems skills, and offer the scope and professional expertise to develop honed Finance Business Partnering skills, which are invaluable in today’s Accounting workforce.

To apply, you must be a Part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or overseas equivalent), possess strong analytical skills, Strong accounts and reporting knowledge with experience of month end cost close process; Possess the ability to work at speed under tight deadlines. Experience using Navision and Cognos\TM1 is beneficial, or similar ERP and Reporting tools/systems experience is desirable. Excellent MS Excel skills are necessary with V looks ups and Pivot Tables desirable too. You will be results driven, self-motivated and proactive. Possess the ability to create relationships at all levels of seniority and across business areas with a proven ability to solve problems and develop innovative approaches.
