Howarth Morris are currently supporting our client, a £500m+ prestigious business based on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre, with recruiting for a Billings Team Leader on an initial 2 year fixed term contract covering a secondment. In this highly visible role you will report to the Head of Transactional Accounts and be responsible for organising and directing the resources of the billing team to ensure a high quality and productive service is provided. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that the client billing process is achieved from start to finish
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of the billing platforms, process and transactions
  • Continually improving processes wherever possible pushing for automation where possible
  • Involvement in the month end close process
  • Liaising with the Credit Control and Sales teams to investigate and rectify billing issues
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders including BDMs and the Sales Team
  • Provide on the job training and support for all billing team employees

Applicants will have experience and understanding of basic accounting principles and will have proven experience within a billings environment in a similar role. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential as well as possessing strong MS Excel experience. The ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads in a fast paced environment is vital. You will also have had experience of supervising staff in some capacity and possess strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
