Loss Accountant

Qualified Accountant required for an independent insurance company in Birmingham.

Your new company
We are recruiting for a niche insurance company with a head office in Birmingham city centre. The organisation partner leading insurance companies offering bespoke services to their clients and handle the calculation and processing of claims.

Your new role
As a loss Accountant you will work in the major loss team. You will assist with the investigation, validation and settlement of business interruption and stock insurance claims following property damage. The role will allow the individual to work from home but you will also be expected to travel to Birmingham and the North West. The role will also involve significant UK travel to claimant sites so flexibility on travel is essential.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplined team to process high value claims. You will take the Accountancy lead in the review and ultimate calculation of the claims. You will calculate the adjustment of business interruption and be the technical point of contact .

This is not a main stream Accountancy role and will suit someone looking to gain extensive niche exposure in this varied market and who is looking for extensive business partnering exposure.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant who is looking to move into a more niche area. You will be mobile nationally and also able to work from home. The ideal applicant will be able to work across various departments and provide data in a succinct and timely manner.
