Your new role
You will be responsible for the management of the central finance team which covers three business units.¨
Key role in the integration of the York finance function following an acquisition.
Team management of a large team including 3 direct reports, qualified accountants, trainee accountants and transactional staff (credit control, invoicing & payments) ¨ Responsible for recruitment, training and team development ¨ You will be a key contact for the Directors. This may include development of the strategy, cost reviews leading to a restructure of core activities, and helping to induct new members to the Board (Commercial Director and MD) ¨ Management of the York central overheads which feed into the wider group central overheads, including working closely with budget holders to develop forecasts, budgets and presentations to the Board. Managing relationships with the Group Finance team to ensure information flows smoothly and to adopt Group processes where possible
Responsible for robust month end close, accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheet management and Group reporting ¨ Lead the production of the statutory accounts and key contact for the external and internal auditors ¨ Responsible for all tax related issues including R&D tax credits ¨ Cash forecasting and management, including rolling out cash forecasting to sites. Responsible for finance processes and controls, including the development of the in house developed finance system




What you'll need to succeed

• A fully qualified accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA ) there is a strong preference for a big 4 ACA background
• Must have a track record of managing teams through a period of change
• A professional contractor with prior demonstrable experience
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Will have the ability to build strong productive working relationships quickly

What you'll get in return

• A contract of a minimum 6 months but likely to roll on
• A total package from £60,000 - £80,0000 or a day rate is available
• Must be able to start at very short notice
