Financial Accountant

One of the UK's leading players in manufacturing are looking for a Qualified Accountant with an audit or practice trained background to leap into a new role which combines technical accounting alongside commercial business partnering. The business has experienced sustained growth and are now looking for a person with a high level of ambition and drive that can ultimately progress to Financial Controller level.

The initial role itself will utilise your own skillset and experience, preparing financial accounts and reports, whilst delving into the story behind the management accounts and reporting. Working with a small transactional team, you will be responsible for the control and compliance of all aspects of the financial accounting and reporting for both the site and aspects of the wider group.

This is a role that will develop over the next 18 months into a FC role, so ambition is a necessity. A strong personality is required to deal with a variety of personalities - both back office and in more production and operational roles. You will get support from the Group and Senior Management - which you will be part of - but there will be an expectation you are a self starter and able to show the ability to solve not just problems, but work around inefficiencies.

You be Qualified, ideally from practice, however if you have qualified through industry and have strong financial accounting skills and an inquisitive and investigative mind then this may well be the job for you. This role is undoubtedly a stepping stone, whether it is in internally or you decide to then go and challenge yourself externally the opportunities will be endless.
