Our client is Specialist Independent School catering for a diverse range of needs for boys and girls age 11-19, many of whom have emotional and social communication difficulties. Prior to coming to joining, some of their students will have been excluded from mainstream education for a period.
Due to this being a school you will need a valid DBS check and due to the location, this role would better suit somebody who drives.
The PA to the Middle Leadership team provides secretary and administration support to the School’s middle leaders.

• Head of 6th Form
• Head of Induction
• Head of HEART
Working in conjunction with the School Secretary to provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors to the School. The position is located within the main Reception area, working within an admin team to ensure Reception is always covered. The Reception area is extremely busy with internal and external visitors.
Duties include:
Secretarial and administration support to Head of Key stages 2/3 & 4 and Middle Leaders
Taking minutes for various staff meetings and committees
Administration of the Educare, online training system
Co-ordinating the school INSET programme
Assisting with the organisation of school ceremonies, parents’ evenings, sending invitations to parents/carers
The production of lesson observation data
Maintain Student information on SIMS to include transport information
Amending and printing IEPs
Maintaining the school’s archive system
Maintaining a lunch rota with School Secretary
Covering in the absence of School Secretary
In the absence of the School Secretary the duties would include:
Secretarial support – Providing support for teachers and school staff
Monitor Student Attendance – liaise with Middle Leaders to ensure registers are completed
in a timely fashion according to school policy:
Coordination of the Missing Student Protocol
Behaviour Management
Incidents – monitor and quality assure
Exclusions – ensure all stakeholders are notified
File Exclusion Correspondence (electronic or hard copy)
Skills
Excellent Telephone Manner
MS office – Minimum intermediate level Word and Excel
Excellent communicator at all levels
The School has a no smoking policy - the school is a smoke free zone.
Hours
Full time, 52 weeks per year with 22 days paid holiday. ½ hour unpaid lunch break.
(Lunch is provided on the basis that staff eat with the students and supervise students eating at their table.)
