A consultancy service based company requires a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their growing finance team based in the City Of London. You will be responsible for the UK region of the business as well as providing support for other areas in which the company operates in on a world wide scale. Role Responsibilities include the following -

  • Correctly & accurately allocating customer receipts against invoices on SAP to clear down invoices being paid
  • Accurately allocating credit notes against invoices as requested by the client, credit controller or billing team
  • Multiple currency postings
  • Taking ownership of unmatched credits on account and working to clear them down by way of allocation or refund
  • Actively working to reconcile the suspense account and refund any due payments back to the client
  • Proactively working alongside other team members to ensure all postings are completed on a timely basis
  • Working knowledge of MS word & Excel to enable cheque logs & correspondence to clients as and when required
  • You will be required to contact the client for correct bank details when a refund is required. This also has to be followed up with preparation of the relevant refund forms to be filled and submitted for authorisation
  • Once your daily postings are complete you are responsible for ensuring that all entries have been posted to correct GL or customer account by reviewing the GL for any outstanding items

Candidate requirements -

  • 1-2 years experience within finance
  • Relative industry experience would be beneficial
  • AAT (or equivalent) studier would be preferable
