Financial Controller

Vitae are proud to be working with an impressive global business based in North Hertfordshire to source an experienced and driven Financial Controller to join their growing team. This business have experienced year on year growth and now operate across the UK, US and Asia.
Important to note that this role will involve working across two sites - one in North Hertfordshire and one in Bedfordshire so the ideal candidate must be happy to spend time at each site during the week.

Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and report management accounts for presentation to senior management; including variance analysis, commentary and guidance.
-Management of accounting system including performing monthly close routines.
-Revenue recognition including calculation of revenue journals and analyses.
-Finance aspects of payroll routines and payroll journals
-Financial budgeting exercise, forecasts and business plans.
-Review cash flow forecasts and manage cash flow.
-Assist in the development of financial reporting systems and internal controls.
-Work closely with/support Operational Management teams.
-Statutory financial regulations.
-Provide leadership to the finance team; coaching, mentoring and supporting them in the development of their skills, experience and career.

This is a role that would suit a 'hands on' Financial Controller who is able to manage the day to day finances of the business whilst building and maintaining relationships with various internal stakeholders.

Due to the nature of this role, which will involve working across two sites, the successful candidate must be able to work on their own at times as well as remotely managing a small team. ACCA / CIMA Qualified candidates would be preferred and previous experience as an Operational FC / Finance Manager will be essential.
