Your new company are a rapidly growing independent chartered accountancy firm based in Edinburgh city centre. The firm offers a range of accountancy and taxation services to a diverse client portfolio. An ambitious firm, looking to continue their impressive year on year growth.


Your new role
An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to join their dynamic team. This position will allow you to work with sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and not for profit organisations which range in size and industry sector. You will prepare statutory and management accounts, VAT returns and personal and corporate tax computations. You will manage your own portfolio of clients, which you will be solely responsible for. There will also be the opportunity to get involved with advisory projects which will include business planning, forecasts, budgets, tax planning etc. The firm are currently working on migrating their clients onto cloud based software and operate a paperless office environment.

You will also mentor and supervise junior members of staff, this will include reviewing work, staff training and making sure staff are up to date on various software packages.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a background working within a reputable chartered accountancy firm and will have already qualified, although if you are almost finished you exams then you may also be considered.

You will maintain excellent communication skills, have a desire to continue to build upon and develop your experience gained to date and will want to progress with your career within the profession.

This is a supportive team who are focused on adding value to clients and developing the firm.
