Leading firm require a qualified ACCA/ACA Audit Senior to take on a role that offers fantastic progression and genuine long term opportunities both from a career and personal development perspective
You will have qualified in the last three years and have strong aptitude for audit and accounts as well as some supervisory skills
Overall responsible include:
Completing all or part of audit and accounts assignments.
Supervising staff
Dealing with other routine and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Liaising and communicating with clients as required.
Supervision and training department staff on audit and accounts assignments
Supervision and training of department staff with technical and IT issues
Upholding the firm’s values of integrity, clarity and innovation in all dealings with clients, colleagues and other contacts
Commercial awareness to facilitate understanding of client businesses
Professionalism in all aspects of the role when dealing with clients, colleagues and other contacts
Detailed working knowledge of all relevant auditing and accounting standards, guidelines, practice notes, SORPs and UITFs
Detailed knowledge and practical implications of laws & regulations relevant to client portfolio
Detailed working knowledge of all taxes relevant to client portfolio
Practical knowledge and application of VAP, Digita Corporation Tax, CoSec, Word & Excel
Practical and advanced knowledge of SAGE line 50, and QuickBooks
Practical and advanced knowledge of any other bespoke packages used by clients
Able to identify risk areas
Able to formulate reasoned views and practical and proportionate recommendations in management letters
Recognise when consultation is required
Able to write clear and concise letters, management letters, reports, emails etc.
Able to clearly express self verbally
Able to convey technical issues in non-technical terms as appropriate to clients & staff.
Able to communicate effectively with directors, managers, supervisors, colleagues and more junior staff.
Comfortable dealing with client staff to at least Finance Controller level(or equivalent)
Able to motivate and guide staff
Lead by example
Able to delegate to, and supervise & review work, of more junior staff
Able to identify individual training issues from file review
Able to identify training issues within the department
