Vitae are proud to be partnering with a truly impressive UK business based near Hoddesdon to source an ambitious Finance Manager to join their growing team. This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion and the role will involve directly managing four members of staff.
This is a business who have undergone a remarkable growth in the last ten years and are currently one of the market leaders in their sector.
Key Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the production of accurate and timely month end trial balances and consolidation
-Responsible for the production of statutory financial information including the filing of accounts within the requisite timeframes
-Responsible for keeping up to date with current and proposed accounting standards assessing the impact on financial forecasts
-Responsible for ensuring invoicing is up to date and invoice payment received on a timely manner.
-Responsible for ensuring the finance department operates effectively and is adequately resourced
-To set and monitor the annual overheads budgets and investigate and highlight variances
-Managing day to day operational relationships within the team
--Responsible for managing the short term cash flow requirements of the business by liaising with all relevant departments Maintain effective relationships with advisors (PWC etc.), to ensure support when required
-Propose required drawdowns to achieve short term cash flow requirements
-Implement and monitor financial operational procedures, and support team to deliver
-Create an environment to drive engagement and high performance and provide coaching and guidance to members of the team
-Manage all people processes - absences, discipline, and holidays of finance team
-Manage the performance of the team, 121s, appraisals and under performance
The ideal candidate for this role will be an ambitious Finance Manager with at least one years' Post-Qualified experience. A background working in a Big 50 Accountancy Practice would be preferred and any experience working within the construction, property sector would be advantageous.
Previous team management experience will be essential as this role will be directly managing four members of the finance team. Experience of dealing with complex statutory accounts and consolidations will be essential as will recent knowledge of IFRS.
