London
£40-50,000 per annum, some flexibility depending on candidate
THIS ROLE IS FOR UK RESIDENT APPLICANTS ONLY
We are leaders and innovators in commodity derivatives trading. Our business thrives by connecting proprietary data and advanced technology with rigorous trading execution. Mandara is an independent trading company, with a track record of generating significant returns. Founded in 2009, Mandara trades worldwide markets across global time-zones, through teams in London, Jersey City and Singapore.
Our culture places great emphasis on the highest standards of performance and behaviour, and we embrace the principles of meritocracy and transparency. We are constantly striving to improve individually and collectively.
We are currently in the process of strengthening our Board and seek a seasoned and dedicated individual with an entrepreneurial mind-set and strategic finance experience in a fast-moving business sector and be our Finance Board Director.
The successful candidate will be someone who considers all aspects of a business and has a mind-set of continually seeking business opportunities and improvements.
The ideal applicant will bring experience of managing a firm as a CEO or as an owner, and this may be someone recently retired, but all suitably qualified candidates will be considered.
We seek applicants who:
- have come through a management accounting / strategic finance route
- have had a minimum of ten years of experience in a finance related fast-moving business sector
- ideally have five plus years of experience of managing a business as a CEO or running a firm as an owner
More explicitly, the ideal Finance Board Director will:
- bring a proven track record in growing and sustaining profitable organisations
- bring experience of balancing fast, entrepreneurial business growth with disciplined financial cost structures
- be adept in challenging senior management as required
Previous Board experience will be a plus but is not essential.
Board duties of the Finance Board Director will include:
- quarterly meetings plus time spent on normal board duties
- two days per month in the London office to enable the Board member to stay close to the business
We are a fast-moving firm in a dynamic industry sector; this Board role provides a very interesting opportunity to apply experience and exercise creativity in translating the firm’s vision into reality.
