Financial Controller

Our client, a private equity backed SME, is a market leader with unrivalled experience in its field. Highly profitable and with ambitious growth plans, this c250 employee Group has a reputation for outstanding service.

The effective management of such growth necessitates the strengthening of the existing finance team. As such we seek to recruit, in a newly created, entry-point role with clear succession planning in mind, a high calibre Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Group FC and working closely with the CFO your responsibilities will be varied but will include:

*Production of monthly management information and other insightful financial and non-financial information 
*Preparation of high quality Management & Board reports and analysis
*Development of the Group's systems, processes and controls
*Significant investors' exposure in addition to interaction with the Group's banks
*Significant opportunity to work on areas such as funding, investor liaison and M&A
*Financial modelling for eg investment appraisals, cashflow forecasting and budget preparation
*Building strong working relationships with the finance team, cross-functionally and externally

We're looking for a commercial and analytically minded individual with a finite number of post-qual years under their belt, ideally with a Big Four (or Top Ten) background. You'll already possess some relevant experience, likely MI production & development, or implementation of new finance systems or perhaps financial modelling.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious, team playing, problem solving, self-starter who is comfortable with having no direct reports, at least not initially. And will possess the energy, personality and agility to succeed in this fast growth business.
