Adjacency is recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a Cheltenham based organisation who have experienced phenomenal growth which will continue for the foreseeable future.  This is a new role which will focus on Finance Projects and Central Functions in an organisation that is constantly changing and evolving.  The role comes with a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 plus bonus and other benefits.

In this role you will be responsible for partnering organisations that are in the process of being acquired, project managing their on-boarding and integration before passing over to the BAU Finance Teams.

Key accountabilities of this role include;

  • Working with the operations team to ensure smooth integration of new acquisitions
  • On site integration visits pre and post-acquisition.  Full documentation of visits and communication throughout to Head of Finance and Head of Operations.
  • Completion of the finance integration task list on time to quality for assigned tasks.
  • Support the training of newly acquired businesses on relevant systems and reporting.
  • Follow on issues from tax DDQ and documentation of actions taken for tax audit purposes.
  • Identification and resolution of any financial process issues with new businesses before hive up or transition to the BAU Team.
  • Consistent processes adopted in line with Group process and controls.
  • Successful handover of the management accounts into BAU with full briefing session for all stakeholders.
  • Completion Accounts and management of audit files delivering a clean audit report.

Experience to date will include;

  • Business partnering, financial analysis and management of projects to improve process, controls and performance.
  • Advanced Excel skills including modelling, analysis, forecasting and project evaluations.
  • Turning numbers into stories – experience of presenting complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders in writing and face to face.
  • Advanced systems skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Used to working on/around projects, change, and transformation.

Qualifications and personal attributes;

  • Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Proactive self-starter who can work on their own to deliver results whilst being equally comfortable within a team.
  • Able to set direction and drive results by the successful execution of strategy whilst maintaining customer focus and demonstrating a positive energy and attitude at all times.
