Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the business as an Accounts Payable on a temporary basis. You will assist with the processing of supplier invoicing and managing queries daily and have excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive mind.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role with an outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport with non-finance individuals.

You will demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure as it's a fast paced, growing and exciting environment with lots going on. You will also need to have good Excel skills with basic understanding of spreadsheets and formulas is essential.

The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to meet deadlines along with having a proactive attitude, due to the importance of this function within the business.

Duties will include:

• Process invoices and credit notes onto the general ledger
• Distribute invoices for relevant approval
• Raise and issue purchase orders
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Supplier record maintenance which includes updated bank details and change of address
• Preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs
• Ad hoc preparation of Faster Payments as required
• Filing which includes invoices, cheque requisitions, vouchers, petty cash claims and any supplier contracts
• Assist in the month end close accrual process
• Agree intercompany balances with counter party for month end accounts
