Opportunity for work for an industrial service company as a QSHE advisor. The ideal candidate would be mobile and have extensive health and safety management experience in a construction or industrial service company

Client Details

Our client is a global construction and support service company, specialising in providing facilities management service. They are currently seeking an experienced Health and safety Manager based in Reading/Oxfordshire

Description

  • Working alongside the QSHE Manager, preparing monthly reports and update on the business unit targets, objectives and KPI's.

  • Provide advice, guidance and direction to ensure business targets, and objectives are met.

  • Ensure QSHE support and direct the needs of the business, reflecting the company's vision and value standard.

  • Frequently review the implementation of the company integrated management system/ procedures and amend/improve as required.

  • Establish good relationship with managers and stakeholders and liaise with external bodies to ensure the company keeps pace with changing legislation and policies.

  • Point of contact for QSHE matters, providing assistance and sound advice when needed

  • Implement QSHE policies, processes and practices.

  • Participate constructively in team meetings and decision making.

  • Undertake health and safety visits to allocated sites.

  • Promote health and safety by implementing practical and effective methods

  • Investigate accidents and record findings.

  • Carry out risk assessments.

  • Advise on compliance issues.

  • Regularly carry out health and safety audits and inspection across allocated sites and reporting finding and recommendations for improvement.

  • Providing cost effective health and safety advice.

Profile

  • Essential- NEBOSH qualification

  • Essential- Experience with construction or industrial services

  • Capable of implementing new QSHE processes and business systems

  • Clean driving licence

  • Good negotiating skills
