A fast growing SME media organisation are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to be based in their offices in Cheltenham. Key Responsibilites include:Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecastsManage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reportsManage AP and AR in coordination with wider customer facing teamsManaging all accruals and prepayments, including monthly reconciliationsMonthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with audit schedulesOversee all company accounts and investmentsSupervise financial vendors (accountants, etc)Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll, invoicing and business expense processesReview all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunitiesEstablish internal revenue update and cost recognition reviews Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepanciesInvestigating variances against the P&L and LRP budgets and analyzing and providing commentary explaining reasons for these variancesEnsure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reportedEstablish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislationDevelop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reportsCreate systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculationsReport to the wider Management Team with timely and accurate financial informationAssist the Management Team in presenting reportsManaging all accruals and prepayments, including monthly reconciliations This would be great opportunity for either a qualified (AAT,CIMA, ACA, ACCA), QBE or international equivalent with strong overall experience managing all aspects of finance and not afraid to having a hands on attitude working closely with the owners of the business.
