Group Finance Manager, Media / London

Unique, newly created opportunity for a Media Plc. The role is sits in the UK Finance team partnering with the subsidiary Financial Controller’s delivering the monthly and quarterly internal reporting. Due to the dynamic nature of the group, via acquisition and new business start ups, a big part of the role will be looking at internal controls and best practice aligning the individual subsidiaries with Group expectations.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Plc internal reporting across all UK subsidiaries
  • Design and implement Group Management reports (including financial information, KPIs and relative market information)
  • Review the commentary prepared by all territories and summarise into concise and meaningful Group commentary for the Group Executives and Board
  • Identify opportunities for continuing improvement propose reforms to the senior finance team and execute changes
  • Develop a close working relationships with all departments and all senior leaders within the operating companies

Required skills:

  • ACA qualified accountant
  • Plc experience is essential
  • Good influencer at all levels with strong man management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Strong sense of urgency coupled with a “whatever-it-takes” attitude
  • Strong technical and business aptitude
  • Strong analytical skills and accounting knowledge
  • Being an excellent communicator and able to build relationships with other functions is key
