Financial Improvement Partner | 12-month contract | £40,000 - £50,000 + benefits | Burnley


Our client is a reputable and well-established technology organisation based in Burnley. They have a market leading presence and excellent culture and work life balance.

They have an opportunity within their finance function for a Finance Improvement Lead. Reporting into the Financial Controller this is an excellent opportunity to drive and implement significant change. In particular you focus on:

• Drive continuous efficiency and quality improvements through automation and improved processes across the finance function
• Ensure consistent and complete data capture and processing
• In conjunction with all finance functions, develop user friendly management tools and reports for regular distribution and financial monitoring
• Improve reporting to provide insightful analysis to drive better financial outcomes
• Improve the integration between all finance functions where possible
• Enhance the financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting processes as required
• Assist with business partnering as required
• Review and optimisation of AR & AP systems and processes maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures
• Undertake ongoing training and development to maintain up to date knowledge and skills required for the role

This is pivotal hire for the organisation to help them streamline their finance function. It will initially be a 12-month FTC but with potential to extend.

Required skills and experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified desirable
• Proven track record in designing and developing meaningful reports
• Experience in implementing finance process and system changes
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
• Advanced Excel
• Data skills
