My client, a blue chip, international hi-tec business requires an International Accountant to support the International Finance team.  Due to the growth of the business this role has been created to support the accounting and financial reporting activities of several entities across EMEA.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills as my client will train the right individual in EMEA reporting techniques and SOX compliance.  Very rarely do these opportunities occur when an organisation is prepared to offer such comprehensive training in a sought after area.  This classroom and on the job training will augment the successful candidate’s cv and make the individual more marketable in the future.

This position is responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for multiple entities across EMEA including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, booking of accruals and prepayments and intercompany billings.  There is also an element of SOX compliance, providing support for year-end external audit and developing and maintaining policies and procedures.  Finally, there are a number of ad-hoc projects that this role will provide support which will involve working with the International Controller.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive UK experience, have a background in using Oracle and an eagerness to learn new skills.  We also require a strong communicator who is able to work in a multi-cultural environment with various departments on a cross-functional basis.  Finally, a problem solving approach is essential, along with an energetic style and a strong work ethic.

With revenue of $1bn and over 3000 employees globally this is an excellent organisation within which to grow and develop your skills right in the centre of their European function.
