Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a well-established business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit a permanent, Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their busy finance department on a full-time basis.

Duties of this position include:

*Processing and coding supplier invoices
*Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries
*Ensuring correct approval is obtained for purchase invoices and payments
*Preparation of payment runs for group companies
*Maintenance of purchase ledger records and reconciliation of balances
*Providing holiday/sickness cover within the payroll team
*Checking all new Starters and Leavers for the month
*Calculating all sickness/maternity calculations
*Quarterly run the monthly payrolls and all accountants and pension reports
*Maintenance of daily cash books
*Daily bank reconciliation
*Handling of petty cash

Experience/requirements:

*Experience of working within a busy finance department and having a particular focus on payroll
*Educated to GCSE level including Maths & English (A-C)
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to work confidently under pressure
