A prestigious Group of businesses with national coverage are expanding their team in one of their specialist divisions in Blackpool. This has resulted in the need for a qualified accountant to provide operational support to the overall running of the transactional services and management accounts functions.

Your role in your new job

This is an autonomous role which involves reviewing processes, identifying scope for enhancements and implementing these where necessary. Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include providing an oversight of the Management Accounts production for a sizeable business unit; developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk and control matrix to ensure robust internal controls; ensuring all reporting requirements are adhered to, highlighting any areas where change may be required; acting as liaison for year end and external audit processes; supporting with any systems development and additional ad hoc projects as required.

Your experience and our requirements

To be considered, you will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and proven in a finance role with a similar level of seniority with staff management experience being highly advantageous. You will be able to provide many “value adding” examples in your career highlights up to now, proving your ability to implement and improve existing processes.  You will be a self-starter with a flexible working approach and you will possess strong IT skills in particular MS Excel.
