Senior Financial Accountant

Working for a dynamic and growing business, the finance team is responsible for the performance reporting and financial controls of all of business operations within the UK.

The successful candidate will manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external and demonstrate a proactive approach to work. There is also an opportunity to be involved in the financial planning and reporting process depending on resource requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Producing monthly accounts, including P&L and balance sheet with accompanying reconciliations
• Responsible for local key controls and to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
• Managing the local statutory audit process including review of accounts preparation and tax returns
• Acting as a senior member of the finance team, assisting in queries, reviewing other team member's work and supporting the UK Senior Financial Analyst on financial issues.
• Working with the shared service centre to ensure contract approval and invoicing is conducted in a timely manner and correctly reflected in the financials.
• Supporting the UK Finance Director on ad hoc projects as required.

The person will be have a bachelor`s degree or equivalent, as well as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent international accounting qualification. You will be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic and approachable and able to engage key stakeholders on financial matters. Strong technical knowledge with regards to UK statutory accounting and revenue recognition policies is a must, as is knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Exposure to US GAAP is an advantage as is experience with Oracle Financial Systems and Hyperion Financial Management. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this opportunity further.
