Financial Controller

As Financial Controller you will support the monthly and quarterly accounting closing process, ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Working closely with commercial and executive teams this is a 6 month interim role with an opportunity of permanency.

As part of the leadership team you will work with local management to ensure business processes and controls are established and followed. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the accounting records in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS. Managing a small finance team, you will be coaching, mentoring and driving their performance.

Liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be involved in projects to maintain and improve existing processes, providing recommendations accordingly. You will be responsible for managing the external audit to ensure accurate and timely sign off of audited financial statements.

The ideal candidate will be an ACA qualified accountant with a commercial background in the property/investment sector, however there is some flexibility in industry exposure. Experience of managing a finance team is essential as are strong technical skills and an ability to deal with complex transactions such as investment acquisitions and disposals.
