Senior Revenue Accountant - 12 month FTC

My client is looking to hire a Senior Revenue Accountant on a 12 month FTC based in their offices in Hemel Hempstead.

This role is for an experienced specialist. You will be responsible for managing four team members in the revenue and banking team and ensuring the controls and escalation procedures are in place. You will be reporting to Revenue & Banking manager.


The key responsibilities of this role include:

* Providing the team with support, advice and coaching where required, performing 1:1s, managing performance, workloads and resources
* Implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies, ensuring an appropriate control environment and imbedding best practice
* Automation of transactions using a technology for all matching and reconciliation
* Lead significant change management projects and process improvement initiatives
* Responsible for robust accounting, analysis and reconciliation in Revenue & Banking areas
* Create success metrics and standard reporting to be shared with leadership team
* Minimizing risk, bad debts and fraud on cash transactions, reviewing, updating and communicating cash procedures and policies across the business
* Maintaining relationships with PSP, banks, credit card providers, cash collection providers and other parties
* Responsible for day-to-day BAU, daily reconciliations, monthly balance sheet reconciliations


The skills required:

* End to end process management for revenue within large multi-site business in a retail/hospitality industry
* Continuous improvement mindset and experience
* Experience of working in a fast-paced Shared Services Centre environment
* Team management, expertise in motivating and developing the team and ability to manage workflows
* Excellent analytical skills with strong working knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis and solution implementation
* Responding in a positive and empathetic way which addresses the root cause of any issues
* Proactive approach, ability to introduce and adapt to change
* Strong Excel and systems experience necessary
* Excellent written and verbal communication
