A leading media business require an interim finance analyst to join their team.

The role will comprise of:

Group Reporting:

  • Ensuring the accruals & actual transactions are correctly recorded for FLASH
  • Assisting with the collection of financial information from the Business Heads & local businesses
  • Developing templates for the review of P&L reporting for monthly actuals, quarterly forecast & annual budget
  • Consolidation of quarterly forecast & annual budget financial reporting in parallel with corporate requirements
  • Supporting the monthly recharges of Regional costs to all territories within the region
  • Monitoring the status of actual recharges against budget & ensuring the correct allocation
  • Assist & support additional finance teams with month-end procedures
  • Assist in the creation of monthly Presentations to present to the Executive Team

Business Finance:

  • Assisting each Business Heads on tracking their individual marketing spend against budget by maintaining the spend tracker
  • Own the product KPI Dashboard & transfer monthly actual results, forecasts & budget from reporting template into a presentable format (KPI Dashboard) for each product Business Heads
  • Collect & collate non-financial information from Business Heads & include key metric information into the KPI Dashboard
  • Consolidate quarterly royalty reports into the Tracker to assist the Manager & the VP on forecast & budget of P&L
  • Assist the Manager & the Director on forecast & budget of P&L

Other:

  • Assisting with establishing & maintaining planning & reporting processes
  • Supporting Manager supplementary analysis & ad hoc requests
  • Be a point of contact for any transaction process related questions from businesses
  • Working with local finance teams to ensure consistent & accurate reporting in compliance with Group policies
  • Supporting local finance teams with PeopleSoft to ensure effective utilisation of the system by all teams

You will be:

  • A Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA/CPA/ACCA) with some experience in financial reporting & business partnering
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly with a range of people across countries & businesses
  • Strong analytical & organizational skills, with experience of managing multiple deadlines
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
  • Excellent team player, who consistently displays a positive attitude
  • Proactive, with quick understanding of the business model
  • Proven track record and fast learner
  • Commercially astute and highly numerate
  • Financial reporting experience in a multi-site, multi-currency business
  • IT literate with strong Excel skills and accounting systems knowledge
  • Use of Hyperion reporting systems desirable
